Announcement date: 20 June 2018
“Support sport and physical activity of girls”, a project implemented within the Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia Programme, also known as ActiveGirls (ID: HUSRB/1602/32/0032), will be officially launched at the Opening Conference on 21 June 2018, starting at 11.00 AM at the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, Serbia.
The Opening Conference is organised by the Lead Beneficiary – the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth, which is partnered with the following organizations on this project: Municipality of Senta, Szeged Tisza Squash Sport Club, and the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
During the opening conference, representatives of relevant target groups from provincial branch associations, sports organizations, educational institutions and local self-governments will have the opportunity to receive information about the project, its goals, results and the planned activities.
The event is open to public but requires registration via email to Mr Dragan Veličković: dragan.velickovic@vojvodina.gov.rs.
The project aims to improve the institutional capacity of schools and local sport organizations by increasing knowledge and awareness of the importance of active participation of girls in sports in the border area. By improving sport infrastructure (procurement of sport equipment and goods), the number of girls aged 7 to 15 who are actively engaged in sport in municipalities in the border region between Serbia and Hungary will increase. The key information about the project ActiveGirls, including the amount of the EU contribution (IPA), is available in the section Projects of this website.
