The complex water management development of the area of the Baja-Bezdan Canal – BABECA (HUSRB/1601/11/0001), a project of strategic value for the Hungary-Serbia border region implemented within the Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia Programme, will be officially launched on 6 December 2017, at 11:00 (local time), at the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, in Novi Sad, Serbia.
The opening conference of the Project will be hosted by the Lead Beneficiary organization of the project – Lower Danube Valley Directorate, and its project partners, Beneficiary organizations: the Public Water Management Company “Vode Vojvodine” and the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The event is open to public but requires registration via email: office@vojvodinahouse.eu by 5 December 2017.
The Project BABECA aims at decreasing flood and potential flood hazards of the targeted territory, as well as restoring the water runoff capacity of the Baja-Bezdan Canal. The interventions in the project are set to improve the cross-border water management and risk prevention system.
