Announcement date: 13 March 2018
Nature Protection from Invasive Plant Species – PROTECT (HUSRB/1602/12/0132), a project implemented within the Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia Programme, will be officially launched with a conference on 23 March 2018, beginning at 12:00 PM (noon) at The Faculty of Horticulture and Rural Development of the John von Neumann University, in Kecskemét, Hungary.
The event is open to public but requires registration via email to Mr Ferenc Baglyas: ferenc.baglyas@kvk.uni-neumann.hu no later than 16 March 2018.
The project’s main objective is decreasing environmental risks and preventing the negative effects of climate change on the nature-protected areas in the Hungary-Serbia border region by implementing joint actions in monitoring and mapping invasive species and suppressing ambrosia to reduce the spread of invasive species and provide better conservation status, safer environment for the inhabitants and economy.
