The project “Improvement of drought and excess water monitoring for supporting water management and mitigation of risks related to extreme weather conditions”, also known as WATERatRISK offered solutions for monitoring of drought and excess water in the Hungary-Serbia border region which created a base for sustainable development of the region.

The project “Cross Border Sound for Children with Disabilities”, also known as CBS-CD used technology to support inclusion of children and young people with disabilities into cultural and social life of their two communities, in the Hungary-Serbia border region.

The project “Kaleidoscope of Contemporary Culture and Creative Industries”, also known as K3CI, connected the contemporary art scenes of Hungary and Serbia by connecting 70 young artists and managers working in the domain of culture.

The cross-border cooperation project “Development of a Road Border Crossing at Kübekháza (HU) - Rabe (SRB) area”, also known as Kübekháza-Rabe, the same-named border crossing between the settlements Kübekháza in Hungary and Rabe in Serbia was opened on 11 October 2019.

Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Serbia, an EU co-financed initiative, will celebrate this year’s European Cooperation Day in September and early October, with 15 events organized by nine projects being implemented within this Programme.

Interreg–IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary–Serbia, co-financed via European Union’s IPA fund (Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance), launched the Third Call for Proposals on 1 June 2019, with the total amount of IPA funding of 10.38 million EUR. The Call is intended for a broad range of Applicants and actions within the Hungary-Serbia border region. The Third Call for Proposals will be open for submission of Applications until 30 September 2019. 

Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Serbia, an EU co-financed initiative, will celebrate this year’s European Cooperation Day in September and October, with 15 events, organized by seven projects being implemented within this Programme.

October 7, 2016 – European Union finances a new programme of cross-border cooperation between Hungary and Serbia with over 76.6 million EUR (76,616,474 EUR), via IPA fund (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance) and through national counterparts, thus providing opportunities for non-profit organizations from the two countries to implement joint projects in the border region aimed at improving its infrastructure, economic cooperation and tourism offer, as well as nurturing its common cultural heritage and supporting the sustainable development.
