Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Serbia launches
the Third Call for Proposals
1 June 2019 – Interreg–IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary–Serbia, co-financed via European Union’s IPA fund (Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance), launched the Third Call for Proposals on 1 June 2019, with the total amount of IPA funding of 10.38 million EUR. The Call is intended for a broad range of Applicants and actions within the Hungary-Serbia border region.
The Third Call for Proposals will be open for submission of Applications until 30 September 2019. The call is intended for projects which aim to make a positive impact in the Hungary-Serbia border region by addressing one of the four priorities of the Programme:
- Improving cross-border water management and risk prevention systems;
- Reducing traffic bottlenecks in the cross-border transport network;
- Encouraging cooperation in tourism and cultural heritage preservation; or
- Enhancing SMEs’ economic competitiveness through innovation-driven development
Supported projects must be implemented within the Programme area, which includes: Csongrád, and Bács-Kiskun counties in Hungary, and Serbian counties: West Bačka, North Bačka, North Banat, South Bačka, Middle Banat, South Banat, and Srem.
The eligible Applicants are non-profit organisations, including public authorities, bodies governed by public law and non-profit organisations governed by private law. Detailed description of the eligible applicants is available in the Guidelines for Applicants.
Projects must contain the “cross-border element” – be comprised of at least one non-profit organization from Hungary and one non-profit organization from Serbia. All organizations within a partnership are required to have their seat in the Programme area. Additionally, they must submit a project proposal together, and if selected, to implement the project together.
Application must be submitted online via IMIS 2014-2020 Application Module, which may be accessed via link in the section Call for Proposals on the Programme website www.interreg-ipa-husrb.com. Guidelines and rules of the application process and all other related information about the Third Call for Proposals may also be obtained within that section on the Programme’s website.
The financed projects must last at least six months and no longer than 18 months.
During the application period, the Programme will provide the applicants with assistance through its Joint Secretariat (JS) and the JS Antenna. Additionally, applicants will have the option to search for partner organizations through the online tool Partner Search on the Programme website.
The results of the Third Call for Proposals are expected in the second quarter of 2020.
The total EU contribution to the Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia Programme from the IPA fund (the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance) is 65,124,000 EUR. Along with the national contribution, and the contribution of project partners, the total budget of Programme is 76,616,474 EUR.
